NGOs Need to Act Like Oil Companies

Oil companies are excellent at setting aside their inter-industry competition, in order to work together to influence and change political decisions. NGOs need to do the same. The conservation challenges facing the planet today require a coordinated and collaborative approach between all organizations that want to make the necessary changes for a better future.
NGOs at regional, national, and international levels need to sit together, identify their strengths and weaknesses, put aside their competitive egos, and strive to create a collaborative strategy of harnessing all their respective energies in a unified strategy to tackle the conservation challenges facing our planet. Without such a strategy, the objectives of NGOs are doomed to taking a back seat to the oil companies' agenda.
Let's fix this now.
